How to get approved for the Modalmais Visa Classic credit card

If you like the Modalmais card and are interested in applying for one, check out the application process:

First, you need to open a digital account. To do this, go to the website and click on "open your account" in the top right-hand corner. Enter your name, surname, mobile number, e-mail address and click on "Continue".

From now on, everything happens on your cell phone. You therefore need to download banking app Modalmais to proceed with the process.

Then enter your full name and e-mail address and click on "continue". Enter your cell phone number, social security number and date of birth, confirm your details, create a six-digit password to access the application and confirm your password.

Take a verification selfie, enter your personal documents, your gender, marital status, country, state and city. If you work, enter your work zip code, your tax information, whether you are a public person, whether you are a tax resident in another country and whether you are an American citizen. Finally, create a six-digit electronic signature, review the account's terms of use and click "Continue" one last time. Your account is being reviewed. Once approved, simply log in with your CPF and password.

Time to apply for a card

Online:

Access bank website Modalmais and click on "I want my card". Two options will appear on the screen. If you are already a customer, simply log in with your digital banking access details and apply online. If you are not yet a customer, download the Modalmais banking app, create your free account and request your card.

Through the app:

Log in to your account with your CPF and password. Click on "cards" in the bottom right-hand corner. All Modalmais cards will appear on the screen, look for Visa Classic International and click on "select card" to apply. Please note that if your application is not approved, you can resubmit it within 30 days.

What is the Modalmais card limit?

As the card is subject to credit approval, the availability of the limit can vary from person to person. If you get a lower limit than you expected, you can increase it through some "financial behaviors". These are:

• Pay the full amount of the bill before the due date.
• Reach the minimum purchase amount per card bill.
• Maintain an unrestricted CPF.

What is modalmais rewards?

Modalmais rewards is the points program available to the bank's customers. When you make purchases with a credit card, the amount is converted into points and you can use your points to buy products, experiences or transfer to Cash Forward.
